Former Moldovan MP surrenders to Moldova's authorities

Chisinau, 27 March /MOLDPRES/ - A former lawmaker, Constantin Tutu, today voluntarily surrendered to Moldova’s law-enforcement bodies at the Leuseni-Albita border crossing point.
Tutu is to be taken over by the Anticorruption Prosecutor’s Office for the carrying out the needed criminal prosecution actions, including the bringing to knowledge of the charge and hearing within the file opened for influence peddling and illicit enrichment.
Under provisions of the instructions by the Commission for Emergency Situations, Constantin Tutu is to stay in quarantine during 14 days.
A warrant of arrest was issued against Tutu in contumacy and he was put on the wanted list in September 2019, following a demarche by prosecutors.
