Chisinau, 27 March /MOLDPRES/ - Moldova will switch to the summer time on 29 March, the last Sunday of this month. The clocks will be set forward one hour, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.
Thus, on the night of 28 to 29 March, the hour 2:00 will become 3:00.
The switch to the summer time is carried out in accordance with the proposal of the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe and concomitantly with the European Union member states.
In March 2019, the European MPs voted for giving up the change of the hour in the European Union starting from 2021. Thus, each EU member state will be able to choose whether to remain at the permanent summer time or the winter one (standard).
