Moldovan energy sector enterprises ensures continuous supply of all consumers

Chisinau, 28 March /MOLDPRES/ - The Economics and Infrastructure Ministry today informed that, in accordance with operative data, all energy sector enterprises today were working as normal and ensuring a continuous supply of consumers with energy resources.   

Ensuring Moldova’s energy security represents one of the principal priorities of the Economics and Infrastructure Ministry (MEI), in particular, in the context of the present state of emergency established both nationally and regionally. Therefore, the institution permanently monitors the process of Moldova’s supply with energy resources, in order to ensure the continuous provision of electric energy, natural gas, thermals energy and oil products to the consumers from all over the country, reads a press release by MEI.         

In the context, Economics and Infrastructure Minister Serghei Railean warned all energy sector enterprises – producers, distributors and providers of energy resources, about the importance of ensuring a stable and safe regime of work of the energy infrastructure, including by the provision of the staff in charge of the operation and serving of energy installations with individual protection  equipment, as well as about the need to strictly observe all instructions by the Commission for Emergency Situation, recommendations of the Health, Labour and Social Protection Ministry and of the internal operational protocols in the attenuating the   effects triggered by the evolution of the epidemiological situation.

State of emergency is declared in Moldova on 17 March -15 May 2020, given the coronavirus pandemic.
