Number of people infected with COVID-019 remains the same in Moldova

Chisinau, 29 March /MOLDPRES/ - No new cases of infection with COVID-19 have been recorded in Moldova. Health, Labour and Social Protection Minister Viorica Dumbraveanu today made statements to this effect after a meeting of the Focal Point.

According to the information unveiled, 231 cases of infection with COVID-19 are confirmed. As many as 126 of the people sick are put at the Toma Ciorba hospital of infectious diseases; 15 people are treated at the Republican Clinical Hospital, of whom 13 are in a serious condition and two ones in medium condition.

At the same time, those two clinics were activated at the Health Ministry, where 41 people in a satisfactory health condition are hospitalized. Also, 14 children and five adults, who are in a medium and satisfactory condition, are treated at the hospital of contagious diseases for children.

Ten cases of infection with coronavirus are registered in the Transnistrian region Some of the patients are treated in Chisinau.

At the same time, Dumbraveanu voiced hope that, after the current pandemic crisis, more money would be invested in the Moldovan medical system.
