Moldovan president announced several new initiatives to support social, economic stability of country

Chisinau, 30 March /MOLDPRES/- President Igor Dodon attended Monday's weekly meeting with Speaker Zinaida Greceanîi and Prime Minister Ion Chicu, then the head of state announced several new initiatives to support social and economic stability in the country under crisis conditions, the presidential press service has reported.
The president made the following statements:
“1. For companies that have ceased activity following the decision of the Commission for Emergencies, the state co-participates (from the State Budget) in maintaining the job and paying the salary by returning 100% of the income tax of private people, social contribution, medical contribution – 44-45 per cent of payroll fund.
2. For the other companies that have stopped activity wholly or partly (not by the decision of the Commission for Emergencies), 60% of the income tax of private people, social contribution, medical contribution is refunded.
3. For people who have worked for at least 9 months in a company and lost their job - they go to employment offices and it is returned 60-80% of salary from the last job. Thus, the country's unemployment fund will be increased three times.
4. For people who have not worked for at least 9 months, or have not had a stable job lately and cannot benefit from the classic unemployment benefit procedure - the state will grant them financial support worth the minimum wage per economy, amounting to 2,775 lei.
5. For state employees who were tested positive with COVID-19 and are in the front line (doctors, nurses, policemen etc.), the state will grant them one-off allowance worth 16 thousand lei, the equivalent of 2 average salaries per economy”.
Also, Dodon said that the top leadership of the country will come up with other measures to support people and companies.
