Chisinau city hall provides transport to medical employees from hospitals subordinated

Chisinau, 30 March /MOLDPRES/ - The Chisinau city hall informs that, during the emergency situation, the employees of the municipal medical institutions are provided with transport to and from the working place.
At a today’s operative meeting of the municipal services, held online, the acting head of the public transport department, Lilian Copaci, said that, starting from 26 March, about 15 rides had been daily made for carrying medical employees of those eight sanitary institutions subordinated to the Chisinau city hall.
The municipal authorities’ decision to provide the free of charge transportation of medical employees is taken during the restricting of the public transport’s movement, in order to prevent and control the spread of the new-type virus. The itineraries used for carrying the employees from the municipal medical institutions comprise the districts: Telenesti, Calarasi, Orhei, Ialoveni, Criuleni and Dubasari.
The city hall’s social assistance and health general department signed a contract on providing services to this end with a private operator of passengers transport.
The same formula is to be applied also for providing with transport the employees of the Municipal Public Health Institution Clinical Hospital No 1.
State of emergency is declared in Moldova on the period 17 March – 15 May, given the coronavirus pandemic.
