Public Medical-Sanitary Institution COVID-19 Center set up in Chisinau

Chisinau, 1 April /MOLDPRES/- The Commission for Emergencies announced at the 31 March meeting the creation of the Public Medical-Sanitary Institution (IMSP) COVID-19 Center in Chisinau. As its director, Oleg Crudu is appointed, who will be temporarily suspended from the position of head of the Municipal Clinical Hospital Sfânta Treime.
The founder of the institution is the Ministry of Health, Labor and Social Protection. According to the Commission’s order, the work period of the IMSP COVID-19 Center is limited during the state of emergency declared in the Republic of Moldova.
"The main purpose of the COVID-19 Center in Chisinau is to strengthen the health of the population by organizing and providing healthcare to patients with suspected / confirmed status in the infection with COVID-19", the decision of the National Commission for Emergencies reads.
The Commission obliged several state institutions, local and central authorities to unconditionally ensure for free the functionality of this institution. At the same time, the Public Property Agency and the International Exhibition Center MoldExpo will ensure the use of the Public Medical-Sanitary Institution COVID-19 Center Chisinau of all immovable property within the MoldExpo complex.
