Degrees of disability expiring during state of emergency to be extended

Chisinau, 1 April /MOLDPRES/- The degree of disability for people whose status expires during the period of emergency will be extended automatically by the National Council for Disability and Work Capacity until lifting the state of emergency. A decision to this effect was taken by the National Commission for Emergencies on Tuesday.

"Based on the list of people receiving extended degree of disability, presented by the National Council for Determining Disability and Work Capacity, territorial structures of social assistance and the National Social Insurance House will ensure the payment of pensions and social benefits until the expiry of the disability term,” the 31 March instruction of the commission reads.

On 17 March - 15 May, state of emergency is declared in Moldova. During this period, the decisions of the National Commission for Emergencies are obligatory and enforceable for the local and central authorities, heads of all types of enterprises, the private sector.
