Number of people infected with COVID-19 reached 353 in Moldova

Chisinau, 1 April /MOLDPRES/- In Moldova, the number of people infected with COVID-19 reached 353, including 42 in serious condition. Minister of Health, Labor and Social Protection Viorica Dumbrăveanu made the statement today.

Out of the 353 cases, 73 are of import and 280 with local transmission. Most cases with COVID-19, over 100, were registered in the capital and over 20 in the left bank of the Dniester.

The minister said that yesterday, the Emergencies Commission approved the regulation of the Moldexpo center and appointed a director there. Also, it was authorized to purchase a batch of protective suits for doctors. Dumbrăveanu added that the authorities have decided that the persons whose disability will expire during the emergency period will receive all social benefits and the degree of disability will be re-evaluated after emergencies.

On 17 March -15 May, state of emergency is declared in Moldova.
