About 700 thousand elderly, people with disabilities to get higher pensions

Chisinau, 1 April /MOLDPRES/- From 1 April, all pensions will be indexed by 4.83%, and the minimum pension for age limit will be 1,131.46 lei.

According to the decision of the authorities, the average old-age pension will increase by 90.69 lei for 523,422 beneficiaries, as a result of indexing by 4.83%. Disability pensions will increase by 69.25 lei for 122,676 beneficiaries, and survivors' pensions will increase by 63.36 lei for 11,269 persons.

Also, from 1 April, the average pension of the participants in the liquidation of the consequences of the damage from Chernobyl will be increased by 181.87 lei for 1,691 beneficiaries.

At the same time, the minimum pension for the age limit is 1,131.46 lei, following the application of the indexing coefficient of 4.83% on the minimum pension in force to date - 1,079.33 lei.

The difference between the minimum pension amount and the calculated pension amount will be paid from the state budget.
