Chisinau, 2 April /MOLDPRES/ - The Chisinau city hall informs that the local public authorities from the Iasi city, Romania, have donated 200,000 Romanian lei to the Moldovan capital’s city hall for the prevention and combating of COVID-19.
The Chisinau general mayor, Ion Ceban, thanked his Iasi counterpart Mihai Chirica for the assistance provided on this complicated period for the entire world, not only for Chisinau. He stressed that any help mattered now. ‘’I appreciate much this gesture, in conditions when it is not quite easy beyond the Prut river too and substantial financial sources are necessary to fight against COVID,’’ the Chisinau mayor said.
The money of the donation from Iasi will be distributed to the medical institutions from Chisinau, involved in the treatment of people sick with coronavirus, to complete the stocks of medicines and consumables.
