Moldovan capital's city hall to earmark funds for development of distance education

Chisinau, 2 April /MOLDPRES/- Chisinau city hall will allocate four million lei for the development of remote education platform.

Mayor Ion Ceban said today that the municipality will allocate four million lei for the development of a common platform for distance education. He said he had a discussion in this regard with Minister of Education, Culture and Research Igor Sarov. "At this moment about 4,800 online lessons are being prepared, about 32 filming teams prepare their registration, the focus groups are ready. I had a discussion with Mr. Sarov to integrate all online education platforms into one ", he said.

The mayor said that a decision to pass or not the baccalaureate exams in due time will be taken by the Ministry of Education.

According to data provided by the Ministry of Culture, Education and Research, about 92% of pupils and students in the country are involved in distance studies.
