Authorities from south-east Moldova district supply ''first line'' employees with food, transport to combat COVID-19

Chisinau, 2 April /MOLDPRES/ - The authorities from the south-eastern Causeni district have ruled to supply with free of charge food and transport the medical staff and policemen directly involved in the combating and monitoring of the epidemiological evolution as to the new-type coronavirus COVID-19.
„The physicians and medical assistants from the Causeni district hospital, employees of the Emergency Medical Assistance Service, who are involved in the providing of medical aid directly to people suspect/confirmed with COVID-19, as well as the policemen who monitor the hospital 24 hours will be daily provided with food and transport,’’ according to a decision by the district commission for emergency situations, led by the head of the Causeni district, Nicolae Gorban.
Two sections of the Causeni hospital were adapted to measures of sorting and treating the coronavirus, where patients also from the Stefan Voda district, where a large number of people infected with COVID, are put.
Three physicians, 12 assistants and more nurses work in these sections, who do not leave the hospital and have been at the working place 24 hours since 29 March.
On the last days, more residents of the Causeni town mobilized and brought to physicians food products, tea, coffee, as well as hygiene products, thus being thankful for the work carried out ‘’in the first line.’’
