Moldovan speaker has phone conversation with U.S. envoy

Chisinau, 3 April /MOLDPRES/- Speaker Zinaida Greceanîi had a phone conversation with the U.S. Ambassador to Chisinau Dereck J. Hogan today, the parliament’s communication and public relations department has reported.

The situation on COVID-19 and measures taken by the Moldovan authorities to stop the spread of coronavirus were examined.

In this context, Greceanîi thanked the American state for supporting Moldova in the fight against the pandemic, referring in particular to the donation made by the North Carolina state to the Mother and Child Institute, as well as the initiatives underway.

"We are interested in maintaining very good cooperation relations with the USA, and the support of our external partners is very important in the current context," said the speaker.

The sides also approached the set of anti-crisis measures approved by assuming responsibility by the government of the Republic of Moldova.
