Moldovan citizens returned from abroad can receive unemployment benefits

Chisinau, 3 April /MOLDPRES/ - Moldova’s citizens who have returned from abroad will enjoy unemployment benefits, if they have official status of jobless people.
Health, Labour and Social Protection Minister Viorica Dumbraveanu today said that, on the period of the state of emergency, the Moldovan citizens returned from abroad would enjoy unemployment benefit worth 2,775 lei. The assistance will be provided, even if these people have never paid to the state budget.
To get the unemployment benefit, Moldova’s citizens who returned from abroad must receive the official status of jobless person and register at the territorial subdivision of the National Employment Agency, where these people have their residence.
Data by the Health, Labour and Social Protection Ministry shows that, on the period 10 March - 1 April, more than 160,000 people entered Moldova.
