Chisinau demands urgent summoning of group of experts in health sector to discuss interaction with Tiraspol representatives

Chisinau, 3 April /MOLDPRES/ - The political representative on behalf of Chisinau for the Transnistrian issue, Cristina Lesnic, has invited the Tiraspol representatives in the expert-level working group for healthcare to a meeting in the format of videoconference, in the context of the pandemic of the new coronavirus COVID-19. A letter on the matter today was sent both to Tiraspol and the OSCE Mission in Moldova, as well as representatives of the mediators and observers in the 5+2 format, the Reintegration Policies Bureau has reported.

The participants in the meeting due on 9 April plan to discuss the way of cooperation with Tiraspol representatives, in the context of the present epidemiological situation.

We remind that biological samples from people suspected of being infected with COVID-19 are collected on the left bank of Dniester and processed at the laboratory accredited at the National Public Health Agency (ANSP). On 2 April, ANSP experts provided additional training for seven persons in charge of managing the situation from the left bank of Dniester.
