Moldovan PM holds meeting of single command centre

Chisinau, 4 April /MOLDPRES/- Prime Minister Ion Chicu today held a meeting of the single command center, the government's communication and protocol department has reported.
During the meeting, Minister of Internal Affairs Pavel Voicu informed that 8,099 people from the subordinated structures of the Interior Ministry are involved in activities of ensuring the quarantine regime in the established localities, checking the persons under supervision and maintaining public order. The policemen checked 5,632 persons under surveillance. In two churches in Soroca district, services were performed and police initiated infringement proceedings on these cases. Seven persons were identified, who violated the isolation regime, and two economic agents who violated the restrictions imposed by the CSE.
In the last 24 hours, 2,099 people entered the country, including 299 by Chisinau International Airport. A person with fever was taken by the team of doctors directly from the airport.
In the case of 13 MAI staff, the infection was confirmed, and for two others the results of investigation are expected.
The National Army chief of staff informed about the involvement of 17 technical units of the Ministry of Defense and 316 soldiers in the missions of maintaining public order and quarantine regime.
Secretary of State of the Ministry of Health, Labor and Social Protection Constantin Rîmiș informed about the investigation of 631 samples, of which 161 cases of infection with COVID-19 were confirmed.
11 cases are of import and 150 with local transmission. 42 cases are in Soroca, 32 in Chisinau, 29 in Stefan Voda and 9 in the districts on the left bank of the Dniester. So far, 752 cases of infection have been detected after the investigation of 4,057 samples.
The prime minister asked to examine additional spaces that could be used as sorting centers, such as the multi-purpose hall in Chisinau. It was pointed out compulsory purchase of health insurance policy by Moldovan citizens who return home. The law enforcement bodies will take legal measures in this regard.
