161 new cases, three deaths recorded in last 24 hours

Chisinau, 4 April /MOLDPRES/- In the last 24 hours, there were 161 coronavirus cases, out of 681 samples. In total, 752 cases are confirmed today. Prime Minister Ion Chicu made the statement on 4 April.
According to the official, out of the 161 cases, 11 are of import and 150 are local. "42 cases have been detected in Soroca today, and in Stefan Voda - 30. There are many cases in the two district centers. Thus, the quarantine regime established there is an absolutely necessary one. In total, in Soroca and Stefan Voda districts we have 226 cases. This is one third of all cases of coronavirus infection in the Republic of Moldova. In Chisinau we have 264 cases,” he said.
He noted that there are 215 cases of infection of medical staff, of which 55 percent in the districts Stefan Voda and Soroca. "Unfortunately, today there are three deaths: a 27-year-old in Tiraspol, a 65-year-old and a 57-year-old in Chisinau. The number of deaths is 12 persons. Statistics is worrying, especially as regards the two districts: Stefan Voda and Soroca ”, he said.
On 17 March - 15 May, state of emergency is declared in Moldova. Several localities in Ștefan Vodă, Hâncești and Soroca were quarantined, the exits and entrances from these locations being blocked.
