Moldovan education ministry extends period of submittiung files on giving of mark 10 ex-officio at school-leaving examination

Chisinau, 6 April /MOLDPRES/ - The Education, Culture and Research Ministry (MECC) and the National Agency for Curriculum and Evaluation today informed that the period of submitting files for the candidates who have certificates/diplomas got following the passing of exams with international recognition, on the providing of the mark 10 ex-officio, in foreign language, at the 2020 school-leaving examination session, was extended till 30 April.     

The MECC decision was taken, in order to ensure the security, protect the lives and health of candidates, following the evolution of the epidemiological situation, in the context of preventing the infection with COVID-19.   

„Specific Instructions on the way of submitting files on the providing of the mark ‘’10’’ (ten) ex-officio, in the foreign language at the school-leaving examinations, have been sent to the competent local bodies in the education sector and institutions of republican subordination, given the suspension of the education process in the education halls. The instructions contain the way of submitting the files, in electronic format, through distance communication means,’’ the Education Ministry said.  

The pre-school children, pupils and students from Moldova have been in quarantine regime since 11 March, given the pandemic of the new-type coronavirus COVID-19. After the suspension of the education process, more education institutions and teachers started online teaching courses, with special attention paid to the disciplines due to be included in the national examinations.
