Moldovan foreign affairs minister has meeting with Japanese Ambassador

Chisinau, 6 April /MOLDPRES/ - Foreign Affairs and European Integration Minister Oleg Tulea today had a meeting with Ambassador of Japan to Moldova Yoshihiro Katayama, the Foreign Affairs and European Integration Ministry’s public diplomacy, strategic communication and media interaction service has reported.
The officials highly appreciated the Chisinau and Tokyo authorities’ cooperation for the efficient approaching of the issues dealing with the management of the epidemiological situation in both states. The Moldovan minister asked for Japan’s support to combat the COVID-19 pandemic, in particular, considering possibilities of providing Japanese assistance for the health system of Moldova.
Also, the sides reviewed the present stage of the bilateral relations and the prospects for development of the Moldovan-Japanese cooperation. The officials tackled ways of boosting the bilateral political dialogue through the organization of a visit to Tokyo by the Moldovan diplomacy head on the next period, during which the sides are to sign important economic documents.
