Moldovan official has phone conversation with U.S. envoy

Chisinau, 7 April /MOLDPRES/- Joint efforts to combat the spread of pandemic COVID-19 and Moldovan-American bilateral cooperation were among the main topics discussed by Foreign Affairs and European Integration Minister Oleg Tulea and U.S. Ambassador to Chisinau Dereck J. Hogan, MAEIE’s press service has reported.

In the context of increasing the number of COVID-19 cases in the Republic of Moldova, the official expressed thanks for the assistance of 1.2 million dollars provided by the United States of America to strengthen capacities of laboratories and communication in risk situations.

Assessing the consequences of COVID-19 pandemic, Oleg Tulea reiterated the importance of further strengthening the political dialogue and cooperation between Moldova and USA in priority areas of common interest.
