Number of people treated by COVID-19 exceeded 650

Chisinau, 23 April /MOLDPRES/- 101 people tested positive were released on Wednesday. Thus, the number of cured patients reached 661. Minister of Health, Labor and Social Protection Viorica Dumbrăveanu made the statement today.
So far, 2,778 cases of COVID-19 infection have been registered in the Republic of Moldova, following the processing of over 14,000 samples. "Yesterday, 101 people tested previously positive were released. Thus, their number reached 661,” she said.
The official said that there are 218 patients in serious condition and 535 of medium severity, the rest in satisfactory condition.
The official said that currently 11 pregnant women are hospitalized in the country, another 27 have already been treated and have returned home. She added that in recent days it was collected plasma from former patients with COVID-19 to be used in the treatment of seriously ill patients.
Dumbrăveanu noted that a batch of medical equipment offered by Turkey will arrive in the country today. She urged citizens to follow the authorities' recommendations and avoid leaving the house.
On 17 March – 15 May, state of emergency is declared in Moldova. Localities in Ștefan Vodă, Glodeni, Soroca, Edineț were under quarantine regime, the exits and entrances from these locations are blocked.
