South Moldova Gagauz autonomy receives assistance on behalf of Azerbaijan to fight against COVID-19

Chisinau, 23 April /MOLDPRES/ - The Embassy of Azerbaijan in Moldova and the Congress of the Azeri in Moldova have come up with a financial assistance for the Autonomous Territorial Unit Gagauz-Yeri, in the fight against the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic.

According to the head of the autonomy’s department for foreign relations, Vitali Vlah, 20,000 lei was transferred on the account specially created on this purpose. The decision-maker thanked on behalf of the Comrat executive body the region’s partners for support, according to the website www.gagauzinfo.md.

Under the regulation, the means accumulated on the special account can be spent exclusively for the prevention and combating of coronavirus – purchasing protection goods, disinfectants, carriage of medical staff to the place of work, other urgent needs.
