Poland provides new consignment of assistance to Moldova

Chisinau, 23 April /MOLDPRES/ - Poland had provided a consignment of masks and consumables for Moldova’s health system through the International Solidarity Fund (ISF), Polish Aid programme.
The equipment was provided to the leadership of the Health, Labour and Social Protection Ministry by Ambassador of Poland to Moldova Bartłomiej Zdaniuk and the director of the Chisinau-based branch of ISF, Tomasz Horbowski. The assistance contains more than 16,000 protection masks, about 4,000 litres of disinfectant, about 800 protection costumes, as well as the thermometres, lamps and protection screens.
A part of the equipment will be delivered to the ministry’s warehouses and the rest will be supplied directly to hospitals and social organizations from all over Moldova. This week, the assistance has reach or is to reach Edinet, Taraclia and Comrat. Next week, the aid will be brought to Cahul, Glodeni, as well as to the Transnistrian region.
The Embassy of Poland said that the equipment donated had been produced at enterprises from Moldova, which were earlier beneficiaries of Polish development projects. The orders launched by the International Solidarity Fund support the extension of the assortment and capacities of production of Moldovan enterprises, thus contributing to the maintaining of jobs on an uncertain period from the economic viewpoint.
In last march, the Toma Ciorba hospital from Chisinau received a concentrator of oxygen from Poland.
