Moldovan policemen to patrol areas adjacent to cemeteries in next week-end

Chisinau, 24 April /MOLDPRES/ - Moldova’s citizens were to mark the holiday of Easter of the Departed in next week-end. In the context of the pandemic, the Metropolitan See of Moldova postponed the commemoration of the departed for 6, 7 and 8 June 2020. Nevertheless, to maintain security, employees of the General Police Inspectorate (IGP) will patrol the areas adjacent to the cemeteries of Moldova.
According to the police, for citizens’ safety, IGP subdivisions’ employees will patrol settlements, routes, yards of apartment blocks, leisure zones and will permanently be at fixed posts nearby the medical institutions and settlements in quarantine.
Policemen remind that the citizens are banned from visiting their relatives, moving from one settlement to another and entering the settlements where quarantine was established.
The old-style Orthodox Christians celebrate the Easter of the Departed on 26 and 27 April this year.
