Moldova's Single Command Centre of emergency state holds meeting

Chisinau, 25 April /MOLDPRES/ - Prime Minister Ion Chicu today led an online meeting of the Single Command Centre of the emergency state. The participants in the event heard reports of the public authorities and institutions involved in the management of the epidemiological situation, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.
Interior Minister Pavel Voicu informed that Interior Ministry (MAI) employees were involved in actions of monitoring the observance of the regime of self-isolation of about 15,000 contacts and more than 39,600 people under supervision. As many as 1,403 people have entered Moldova in the last 24 hours, of whom 607 from Romania, 414 from Ukraine and 382 by air.
The police undertake actions of patrolling public places and monitor the observance of the social distancing requirements. People are urged to move strictly for essential needs. No religious services were made in 1,241 out of 1,385 churches and services were held in 144 churches with the participation of only clergymen. The police monitor the situation in all cemeteries of Moldova.
Quarantine regime was established in the settlements Etulia and Cismichioi, southern Vulcanesti district.
Defece Minister Alexandru Pinzari informed about the involvement of 277 servicemen in actions of managing the epidemiological situation, of whom 145 were involved in the maintaining of the quarantine regime.
Ion Chicu thanked the policemen and military for the service, noting that the activities of patrolling the public places and maintaining the quarantine regime had a critical role in preventing the spread of the infection.
As many as 15,572 samples have been investigated and 3,304 infection cases have been confirmed in Moldova so far. A number of 885 people infected with COVID-19 were treated, without information on the treated people from the left bank of Dniester. Ninety four people have died of coronavirus.
