Foreign affairs ministry welcomes Romanian authorities' decision to support Moldova in context of pandemic

Chisinau, 27 April /MOLDPRES/ - The Foreign Affairs and European Integration Ministry (MAEIE) welcomes the Romanian authorities’ decision to send to Moldova a team of physicians and medical staff, as well as to donate medicines and sanitary materials needed for treating patients infected with the new coronavirus.

In a press statement at the Cotroceni Palace, President of Romania Klaus Iohannis informed about the support due to be provided to Moldova’s citizens on the days to come, in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic, the MAEIE press service has reported.

The Bucharest authorities’ decision proves once again Romania’s solidarity with Moldova in efforts of managing the crisis triggered by the COVID-19 pandemic and represents one more telling example of the special importance of the present strategic partnership between the two countries.
