Over 220 patients infected with COVID-19 in serious condition

Chisinau, 28 April /MOLDPRES/- A number of 14 patients are in extremely serious condition, 24 are on assisted breathing and 220 are severe. Minister of Health, Labor and Social Protection Viorica Dumbrăveanu made the statement today.

So far, 3,481 cases of infection with the new coronavirus have been registered in the Republic of Moldova after processing over 16,000 samples.

The official said that there are 222 patients in serious condition and 528 of medium severity, the rest in satisfactory condition.

She noted that all equipment donated or paid by the state is distributed to hospitals as needed. She said that today an event of donation of 28 thousand protective suits from Sweden will be held.

According to MSMPS, 925 people have been treated so far and 102 have died.

On 17 March – 15 May, state of emergency is declared in Moldova. Localities in Ștefan Vodă, Glodeni, Soroca, Edineț were under quarantine regime, the exits and entrances from these locations are blocked.
