Hungary provides Moldova with assistance

Chisinau, 28 April /MOLDPRES/- Hungary provided a batch of aid to the Republic of Moldova. It includes 100,000 masks and 5,000 protective equipment for employees in the health system. Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary Péter Szijjártó made the statement today at a joint conference with Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration of Moldova Oleg Țulea.
The Moldovan official said that the assistance came on time and will help our country in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic. "I express my gratitude to the Hungarian side for all support provided, including the repatriation of Moldovans. The green corridors provided by the Hungarian side allowed us to help thousands of countrymen to get home safely ", said Țulea.
Péter Szijjártó said that once his country managed to purchase larger batches of equipment, he decided to come with support for Moldova, which he signed a strategic cooperation partnership. He said that Hungary also backs the EU's support for the Eastern Partnership countries, which includes Moldova.
