Hungary supports Moldova in fight against COVID-19 pandemic

Chisinau, 28 April /MOLDPRES/- An important batch of humanitarian aid from Hungary, which includes 100,000 medical masks and 5,000 protective suits, reached Moldova today. The aid is a response to a request of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration to provide protective equipment to public health medical institutions in Moldova, the MAEIE press service has reported.
Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration Oleg Țulea met today with Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary Péter Szijjártó, who was on a working visit to Chisinau and delivering this important batch of humanitarian aid.
Țulea thanked his Hungarian counterpart for the generous support, which backs the Moldovan authorities’ efforts in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic and will allow to cover the urgent needs of hospital medical institutions in our country.
The two officials noted with satisfaction the remarkable developments in bilateral relations and discussed concrete ways to use fully the opportunities offered by the Strategic Partnership, signed on 12 March during the visit of Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán to Chisinau.
