Moldovan government approves 2020 national plan on employment

Chisinau, 13 May /MOLDPRES/ - The government today approved an action plan for 2020 on the implementation of the national strategy on employment for 2017-2021.

Under the cabinet decision, the 2020 plan includes activities which are implemented during the calendar year, having as reference point the general matrix of actions for the period 2017-2021, as well as the exact costs.  

„The actions are focused on the implementation of four priorities: creating opportunities for formal, non-discriminatory and productive employment; development of human capital for enhanced employment chances; a better governance of the labour market; turning to good account of the migration’s potential for the sustainable development,’’ the document reads.  

The implementation of the actions included in the national action plan for 2020 will contribute to new opportunities of employment in rural zones and small towns; reduction of the difference between the demand and supply of labour force; employment of jobless people; providing of a regulatory and institutional framework for the protection of Moldova’s citizens who work abroad and facilitation of the reintegration of citizens who returned from abroad.    

The overall costs needed for carrying out the action plan is about 1.5 million lei, and most of this sum is covered from the state budget.
