Over ten thousand people received unemployment status in April

Chisinau, 14 May /MOLDPRES/- The National Agency for Employment announces that from April 1 until now, 11,474 people have been registered as unemployed. Most unemployed people were registered in Chisinau and Balti, Ocnița, Drochia, Ungheni, Gagauzia districts.

In April, 2,113 people received unemployment benefits. On 1 April-13 May, the call center of the National Agency for Employment received response to over 10,123 calls from citizens, who were provided with information and consultations mainly on the registration as unemployed and access to unemployment benefits during the state of emergency, filling in application forms, declarations and submitting them remotely.

There are currently 29,091 unemployed people registered in Moldova.
