Tiraspol postpones meeting of working group on customs, human rights issues

Chisinau, 14 May /MOLDPRES/ - Chisinau has invited Tiraspol to organize the working group in the human rights sector on 14 May, in order to discuss more subjects accumulated and which need special attention, the Reintegration Policies Bureau has reported.

The last meeting of the sides’ experts in the human rights sector took place on 10 March 2020.

The meeting of the working group on customs issues, demanded by Tiraspol’s chief negotiator, was postponed at an initiative by the Transnistrian side, although Chisinau was prepared for organizing the working group.

The sides have earlier agreed to hold a meeting in format of videoconference on 14 May 2020, including with the participation of the actors in the 5+2 format, at the OSCE Mission’s headquarters.

Both meetings on customs and human rights matters were adjourned by Tiraspol.
