Moldovan official journal publishes amendments to regulations on payment in healthcare system

Chisinau, 15 May /MOLDPRES/- The Official Journal today published the amended Regulation on remuneration of employees of public medical institutions included in the compulsory health insurance system.

According to the amendments, the supplements for cumulating the attributions of the position held with duties of vacancies, temporarily vacant or temporarily absent function are established to the staff, if necessary, so as not to affect the quality of services provided, by the administrative act of the manager within the means of the salary fund.

The document stipulates other rules for wage and labor remuneration part-time temporary, leading positions, vacancies, temporarily vacant or absent etc.

According to Minister of Health, Labor and Social Protection Viorica Dumbrăveanu, the main purpose of the changes is to adjust and improve the salary regulations in medicine, "in the context of specifying the meaning of rules under the Labor Code, to avoid different interpretations by certain control bodies (National Medical Insurance House, Financial Inspection, etc.). At the same time, the changes could overcome the staff shortage in public health institutions.
