Romanian physicians' mission ends in Moldova

Chisinau, 15 May /MOLDPRES/ - Prime Minister Ion Chicu today participated in an event on the end of the Romanian physicians’ mission, which lasted 14 days. The team of specialists from Romania carried out its activity in the Chisinau, Balti and Cahul municipalities, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.
„Your mission is more than a support. It is signal that Moldova has friends and that we, the Moldovans, have brothers and sisters willing to help us,’’ Ion Chicu said.
The PM highly appreciated the gesture of the Romanian nation, provided namely on the period of the pandemic, characterized by deficits and insufficiencies. Chicu noted that, in such moments, the value of each piece and personal protection equipment was thousand-fold.
„Thank you for the work carried out in these 14 days, for the energy and devotion and for the good examples of kindness and goodwill. You leave behind you rescued lives and friendships started – I hope that the number of friendships from both banks of Prut will increase intensely on the next period and you will have many reasons to return to Moldova,’’ the prime minister said.
The specialists from Romania were awarded government’s diplomas.
