As many as 192 new COVID-19 cases recorded in Moldova in last 24 hours

Chisinau, 15 May /MOLDPRES/ - As many as 1,344 biological samples have been processed in Moldova in the last 24 hours, of which 192 ones proved to be positive. Thus, there are 5,745 confirmed cases of new-type coronavirus in all.

According to data by the Health, Labour and Social Protection Ministry (MSMPS), 18 out of the today’s cases are medical employees: 5 physicians, 8 medical assistants and 5 auxiliary staff employees.

MSMPS informs also about the registration of other deaths triggered by COVID-19. The new virus has killed four men and two women in the last 24 hours; the total number of dead people is 202 and of the people treated – 2,280.

The emergency state established on 17 March ends today. The authorities said that, starting from 16 May, the National Extraordinary Public Health Commission will establish emergency state in the health sector and the sanitary and epidemiological rules would remain in force.
