Romanian physicians end humanitarian mission in Moldova

Chisinau, 15 May /MOLDPRES/ - A ceremony on the end of the mission of support of medical employees from Moldova, carried out by Romania, for checking the spread of the COVID-19 infection, took place today.
The physicians from Romania were awarded honorary diplomas of Moldova’s government, as a token of gratitude for their involvement in providing medical assistance to residents and backing the Moldovan medical system.
„Your mission in Moldova is an example that the good has no borders as well. Thank you for you having fought by the side of physicians from Moldova for people’s lives,’’ Health, Labour and Social Protection Minister Viorica Dumbraveanu said.
The group of physicians and medical assistants from Romania provided support to the medical system of Moldova in the fight against the COVID-19 infection, during 15 days, starting from 30 April.
Forty two specialists from primary medical assistance, emergency medical assistance, internal medicine and intensive therapy carried out their activity at the Republican Clinical Hospital, Emergency Medicine Institute, Saint Archangel Michael Municipal Hospital, the Clinical Hospitals from Balti and Cahul.
