Moldovan PM has meeting with ambassador of Hungary

Chisinau, 15 May /MOLDPRES/ - Prime Minister Ion Chicu today had a meeting with Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Hungary to Moldova Sándor Szabo, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.
The two officials exchanged information on the evolution of the epidemiological situation in Moldova and Hungary and the stages of adaptation of the restrictions imposed.
Ion Chicu thanked the government of Hungary for the support recently provided to Moldova in form of personal protection pieces and equipment.
The sides discussed the progress made in the carrying out of the actions agreed upon at a visit to Chisinau by Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban on 12 March, among which the turning operational of a 100-million-euros-worth loan provided by Hungary to Moldova’s companies which cooperate with Hungarian companies. The Budapest government provides 40 scholarships to students of Moldova, to study at universities from Hungary.
Prime Minister Ion Chicu said that Moldova was expecting two experts of the Hungarian government, to assist the Moldovan cabinet in the public finance and agriculture sectors, in which Hungary has proved important progress in the last ten years. The Hungarian experts will soon start their work in online regime and will come to Chisinau, when the travel restrictions are cancelled.
