First Oenotourism Guide launched in Moldova

Chisinau, 16 May /MOLDPRES/ - The National Office of Vine and Wine (ONVV) has launched the first Oenotourism Guide of Moldova. It is part of a comprehensive information campaign about the oenotourist potential of the country and the vine and wine destinations, with the slogan „ReVin cu drag,” due to be held during the next summer.
Accompanied by the dedicated hashtag, #Revincudrag, the campaign is set to popularize the vine and wine tourism nationally, in order to attract as many as possible visitors to wine cellars and wineries which provide tourist services. Thus, on the next period, potential visitors will learn details about wineries of Moldova, small family wine businesses, as well as the about the wine cellars which are to be opened this year.
„In the context of the pandemic, which hits the world vine and wine community, we must join our efforts, in order to clearer convey the message that Moldova provides not only quality wines, but also unique oenotourism experiences. The campaign, „ReVin cu drag,” is aimed at making known wineries from all over the country, as well as the wines which they produce. Thus, we are set to increase the number of local tourists, especially on the summer period, when more and more people would like to travel in safety, to discover new places and know the Wine of Moldova. We anticipated the tourists’ needs and launched the first Oenotourism Guide of Moldova – a detailed map of the country’s wineries, which includes useful information and advice for those who already make plans of travel throughout Moldova,’’ the director of the National Office of Vine and Wine, Gheorghe Arpentin, said.
The Oenotourism Guide comprises the description, history, tourist offers and packages of Moldova’s wineries. Moreover, maps of access to wine cellars, distances to be covered, as well as the estimated time to reach the destination can be found here.
Worked out in form of a map of travels, the guide is available online for free, on the Facebook page Wine of Moldova starting from 14 May and can be downloaded on mobile devices for users’ comfort.
