As many as 189 new COVID-19 cases recorded in Moldova in last 24 hours

Chisinau, 16 May /MOLDPRES/ - As many as 1,429 biological samples have been processed in Moldova in the last 24 hours, of which 189 ones proved to be positive. Two of the cases are in the Transnistrian region. Thus, there are 5,934 confirmed cases of new-type coronavirus in all.

According to data by the Health, Labour and Social Protection Ministry (MSMPS), 30 out of the overall number of today’s cases are medical employees: 9 physicians, 13 medical assistants, 8 auxiliary staff employees.

MSMPS informs also about the registration of another deaths triggered by COVID-19. In the last 24 hours, the virus has killed two women and one man and thus, the number of dead people reached 207.

A number of 2,344 people have been treated of COVID-19 so far.
