As many as 126 new COVID-19 cases recorded in Moldova in last 24 hours

Chisinau, 17 May /MOLDPRES/ - As many as 933 biological samples have been processed in Moldova in the last 24 hours, of which 126 ones proved to be positive. Seven of the cases are in the Transnistrian region. Thus, there are 6,060 confirmed cases of new-type coronavirus in all.

According to data by the Health, Labour and Social Protection Ministry (MSMPS), 24 out of the overall number of today’s cases are medical employees: 6 physicians, 11 medical assistants, 6 auxiliary staff employees and one pharmacist.

Another two deaths triggered by the COVID-19 infection were registered today: a 63-year-old woman from Ungheni and a woman from the Transnistrian region.

A number of 2,408 people have been treated of COVID-19 and 211 people died of this virus.
