Chisinau, 18 May /MOLDPRES/- The case on Veaceslav Platon was fully forged, the accusation was based on deliberately distorted assessment and misinterpretation of the facts, resulted from the accusations on Ilan Shor. Prosecutor General Alexandr Stoianoglo made the statement today.

Platon was absolutely illegally convicted and respectively, illegally serving his sentence. "Based on the evidence, the Prosecutor's Office will initiate the procedure to review the sentence and will insist on fair examination of the case, guaranteeing all procedural rights - which previously was denied," said Stoianoglo.

He said that plaintiffs will ask the court to examine the case in transparent way, in a fair trial, to allow the society to assess the materials that were the basis of his accusation, to find out who is actually behind these fakes and who in fact received stolen funds.
