Moldovan PM has meeting with district heads

Chisinau, 18 May /MOLDPRES/ - Prime Minister Ion Chicu today had a meeting with the district heads. The goal of the event was to consider the evolution of the epidemiological situation in Moldova’s districts, the economic impact of the restrictions imposed to prevent the spread of the infection, effects of the hydrological drought and other subjects, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.
Ion Chicu informed the district heads about the decisions by the National Extraordinary Public Health Commission and the evolution of the epidemic in the region, especially in the neighbour countries. The regional context shows that the global and regional economy is seriously hit and the negative effects are still to be felt.
The participants in the meeting discussed the work of the commercial markets and public nourishment organizations, the passenger transport in the context of the epidemiological situation’s evolution. The sides tackled the topic on the effects of the hydrological drought and measures to back farmers. The Agriculture, Regional Development and Environment Ministry along with the local authorities will assess the situation and will come up with information and recommendations.
The prime minister referred to the economic situation, collections state budget revenues and the need to rationally prioritize the expenses. The government will invest in the construction and modernization of infrastructures, especially in roads, in order to contribute to reviving the national economy.
The participants in the meeting discussed the subject on taking the school-leaving examinations and other exams, as well as the procedure of admission to universities. The pupils and students will return to classrooms in the batter case in early next September.
