About 1,350 school-leavers to get highest mark ex-officio at exam in foreign language in Moldova

Chisinau, 18 May /MOLDPRES/ - Education, Culture and Research Minister Igor Sarov, today signed an order. Under this document, during the national school-leaving examination session 2020, mark 10 (ten) is given ex-officio at the exam in foreign language to the pupils who during the general education passed exams with international recognition for certifying the linguistic skills in foreign languages.

According to the order, 1,349 pupils this year will get the mark 10 ex-officio at the exam in foreign language within the national school-leaving examinations. It is about a larger number, in comparison with 1,008 pupils in 2019, 785 in 2018, 637 in 2017, 460 in 2016 and 229 in 2015.

„The increasing number of pupils with special performances internationally shows both the enhanced interest in the knowledge of foreign languages and the high appreciation of foreign assessors,’’ according to the Education, Culture and Research Ministry.

The competent ministry’s data shows that 1,135 out of 1,349 files submitted are for the giving the mark 10 in English language, 122 files are in the French language, 42 files are in the German language, 34 files are in Italian language and 16 files – in Spanish language.
