About 4,300 homes purchased under First Home Program

Chisinau, 19 May /MOLDPRES/- Through the First Home program, 4,296 homes have been purchased so far. Another 10 applications were accepted, in respect of which the guarantee contracts are to be signed.

The total amount of loans granted by banks is 2.153 billion lei. The total amount of active guarantees is 1.076 billion lei, sources from the Ministry of Finance said.

Out of 4,296 beneficiaries, 3,015 are families, and 1,281 - unmarried young people. The average age of the applicants is 31.2 years. Also, out of the total number of beneficiaries, 633 persons benefit from compensations from the state budget under First Home program 2, 1,645 - in First Home 3 and 336 – First Home 4.

The average area of housing purchased under the program is 59.96 square meters. The average value of purchased homes is 593.80 thousand lei.

4,029 homes were purchased in urban areas and 267 in rural areas. 3,964 purchased homes are apartments and 332 - individual houses.

The First Home program was launched in March 2018.
