Chisinau city hall, anticorruption centre sign cooperation agreement

Chisinau, 20 May /MOLDPRES/- Chisinau city hall today signed a cooperation agreement with the National Anticorruption Center in order to prevent and combat corruption within Chisinau city hall.

The agreement comes to strengthen the integrity of officials and employees of the local public administration and promote integrity standards within the local public administration.

Chisinau mayor Ion Ceban said he is interested in the activity of the local public authority to be in the light of corruption prevention. "We aim to save public money and make the actions of Chisinau city hall transparent," Ceban said.

For his part, CNA director Ruslan Flocea pointed out the importance of the agreement and the benefits of collaboration of the two institutions on improving the quality of services provided to the population. "The National Anticorruption Center welcomes the signing of this Collaboration Agreement and aims to support city hall employees in transposing anti-corruption policies and national and international regulations in the field to improve the quality of services provided to citizens," he said.

To prevent corruption, the activities and services of the Chisinau city hall are transferred to online platforms aimed to minimize involvement of human factor.
