Moldovan government approves programme on roads' repair

Chisinau, 20 May /MOLDPRES/ - A programme on the repair of national public and local roads, worked out by the Economics and Infrastructure Ministry, was approved by the government today. To carry out the programme, the state budget law sees allocation of an overall sum of about 1.4 billion lei.    

The programme was elaborated based on the 2020 state budget law and includes two sub-programmes. The sub-programme on the repair of national public roads, for the implementation of which 250 million lei was earmarked, provides for the carrying out of the capital repair of 86.3 km of roads. Over 1.1 billion lei was distributed for the sub-programme on the periodical repair and maintenance of national public roads, local, village roads and streets. The activities planned within this sub-prigramme imply the improvement of 906 km of roads from about 900 settlements of Moldova, with the sectors selected according to proposals by the second-level Local Public Authorities.      

The programme on the repair of the national public roads have at the basis the priority projects included in the transport and logistics strategy for 2013-2020, roads from the priority network, which are not part of the international networks and for which the project documentation has been earlier developed.
