Moldovan president meets Russian ambassador

Chisinau, 22 May /MOLDPRES/ - President Igor Dodon today had a meeting with Russian Ambassador Oleg Vasnetsov, the presidential press service has reported.

The officials discussed a wide range of subjects on the development and strengthening of the strategic partnership between the two states in the priority sectors, at the bilateral and multilateral levels.

In particular, the sides highly appreciated the recent online meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council, with the participation of the Moldovan president, as Moldova as the status of observer in this organization.

The sides highlighted that, despite the current difficulties, the interaction between Moldova and Russia within the Eurasian Economic Union and the Commonwealth of Independent States will continue, for the good of both peoples and countries.
