Moldovan capital's city hall distributes financial donations received to subordinated medical institutions

Chisinau, 23 May /MOLDPRES/ - The Chisinau city hall informs that the financial means worth 1.6 million lei, recently accumulated on account of donations made by private people and legal entities for combating the COVID-19, have been distributed to municipal hospitals, territorial medical associations from the city’s districts, as well as to the city hall’s social assistance and health general department for the payment of the services of carriage and, respectively, nourishment of physicians.     

The decision on the distribution of money was taken by the working group set up, in order to manage the financial means donated by economic agents and private people, following the consideration of the needs of the public medical and sanitary institutions.

The financial sources earmarked to the municipal public medical institutions are meant for buying medicines and protection equipment (gloves, coats, masks, spectacles, thermometers, etc.)   

It is worth mentioning that the balance left on the Chisinau city hall’s account from donations provided by citizens is of about 600,000 lei.
