As many as 147 new COVID-19 cases recorded in Moldova in last 24 hours-19

Chisinau, 23 May /MOLDPRES/ - As many as 147 new cases of infection with COVID-19 have been confirmed in Moldova, of which 15 ones in the Transnistrian region. One hundred and 46 cases are with local transmission and one case is of import.

The Health, Labour and Social Protection Ministry (MSMPS) informs that 1,285 tests were made today, of which 989 – for the first time and 296 – repeatedly.

Thus, there are 6,994 people infected with the new coronavirus in all.

The ministry data shows that 18 out of all cases registered today represent medical employees: 3 physicians, 8 medical assistants, 2 doctor’s or surgeon’s assistants, 5 auxiliary staff employees.

At the same time, MSMPS informed about another three deaths triggered by coronavirus. So far, 3,452 people have been treated of COVID-19 and 242 died.
